Hands-On Injectable Training for the Latest HA Lip Enhancement Procedures

Lip injections are now the largest application for HA fillers in the face and exceed cheeks and nasolabial fold injections within your aesthetic practice across all demographics. Lip augmentation procedures are expected to keep growing as generations of all ages seek to enhance the look of their lips and are considered fashionable to do so. Patients also desire a “certain look” when receiving these treatments. Also, the patient preference demands that the Practitioner be well educated in the latest techniques and master the art of lip fillers.

Empire Medical Training has developed and designed the Master Lip Injection Course as the next step to your injectable training utilizing the resources of training physicians for over 20 years in injectables. During this comprehensive hands-on training workshop, you will learn not only the most popular lip styles you can achieve with fillers but the injection protocols and techniques to create “perfect lips” every time.

The course will benefit all practitioners (novice or advanced injectors) to safely inject dermal fillers in the lip and perioral region to achieve the exact certain lip outcome tailored to the request and needs of your patients.

This 1-Day Hands-On Training allows for attendees to work on “live models” to ensure that you will leave the course having the expertise in all of the latest non-surgical lip enhancement procedures and feel comfortable incorporating these procedures upon completion of the program. The format for the course is “classical style” where there will be didactic in the morning session and small groups for the practical session supervised by our Board-Certified Faculty staff of physicians in a clinical setting. A thorough understanding of Dermal Fillers is a pre-requisite and prior completion of the Empire Medical Training’s “Complete Dermal Filler or Advanced Dermal Filler Training”, prior experience in administering HA Dermal Fillers, or equivalency is necessary for attendance to the course.

The Comprehensive Lip Mastery Injection Course

Lip Filler Techniques

This comprehensive Lip Mastery Injection Course will instruct all licensed practitioners in the latest trends and techniques to safely perform these “in-demand” injections. The course will review pertinent anatomy of the lip and perioral region as well as other anatomical particulars related to the injection. Attendees will gain a full understanding of the numerous lip styles that are trending with patients as well as the techniques to achieve these results. In addition, during the didactic lecture of the program, we will review HA Filler selection, Combination Therapies with PDO Threads, Avoidance of Adverse Events, and consultation in managing expectations and results.

During the aging process, we lose volume in our lips and many clients wish to change the look of their lips or create “perfect lips” to enhance their looks. Everyone will gain the experience and knowledge to achieve optimal lips for your patients. Learn from our expert staff of physicians who have years of experience and perform these procedures within their successful practices. Our Physician Faculty have many years of experience and will share their insights and injection pearls to enhance your treatments and differentiate yourself from other injectors.

Learn to mark or conceptual imagine each patient for the 3-Dimensional effect for lip enhancement including Euclid Proportion (1:1.6), Steiner Line considerations, and Glogau-Klein point to avoid overcorrection and avoidance of undesired results. Advanced Lip Filler Techniques

Each of the following styles will be detailed within the didactic as well as the injection techniques to achieve these looks for patients. The following injection techniques will be used throughout the Advance Lip Filler Technique course:

Russian Lip Techniques: The HA product is injected vertically at the base of the lip and the dermal filler is injected retrograde drawing the projecting the product outward toward the lip border. This allows the injector to inject the product from the inside out rather than from the lip border working inward – the results are completely natural and the results are amazing.
Microdroplet Technique: Typically, this technique is utilized when you wish to utilize blunt tip cannulas to reduce the risk of bruising or vascular injury. The technique requires anesthesia of the lips since you will typically inject 100-300 microdroplets to buttress the lip borders/edges, rejuvenate the philtrum (Cupid’s Bow), and inject every crease within the lip that cause lipstick bleed. The results look completely natural and enhance the overall features of the lip.
Lip Tenting (Pillar) Technique: Similar to the Russian Lip Technique, enhancement of the lip is achieved by injecting the lip vertically from the white roll (vermillion border) of the lip using serial punctures by retro injection. This technique allows for more control over the amount of filler used as well as better control of the shape of the lip compared to serial threading that is parallel to the contour of the lip. This is the simplest and easiest way to augment the lips of patients that may be asymmetrical, have lip pockets, or correct the work of others.
Separation Technique: This technique is utilized when rounding the areas of the upper and lower lip to create the correct look when the lips are closed. Additionally, this technique is applied when creating the “keyhole” look to lips.
Cross Hatching Technique: Though this technique is very common for other types of dermal filler injections, learn when to use this technique in the lips to achieve the desired effect and for the type of look the patient is desiring.
Advanced Fanning Technique: Similar to other techniques used for parallel-serial injections, learn how these advanced fanning injections will change the shaping of the lip to the desired look. The techniques shown will be for both needle and microcannula with descriptions as to entry points and pearls to achieve these results.
Cross Hatching Technique: Though this technique is very common for other types of dermal filler injections, learn when to use this technique in the lips to achieve the desired effect and for the type of look the patient is desiring.
Advanced Fanning Technique: Similar to other techniques used for parallel serial injections, learn how these advanced fanning injections will change the shaping of the lip to the desired look. The techniques shown will be for both needle and microcannula with descriptions as to entry points and pearls to achieve these results.

Hands-on Training

Empire strongly recommends that you bring a model for the Advanced Lip Filler training session. Consideration should be given that your model will benefit from these procedures. If you are unable to bring a model to the program please contact Empire Medical Training (2) weeks before the event. During the practical session, you will conduct a patient consultation, develop a lip treatment plan for your model and administer the lip filling procedure under the supervision of our physician faculty. Empire provides (1) syringe of dermal filler for your patient as part of the program and additional products will be available for purchase.

This training caters to MDs, DOs, DMDs, DDS, NPs, RNs and other licensed healthcare professionals.

A board-certified physician expert will teach this course, with other licensed healthcare professionals assisting where needed.

Certainly! For those outside the United States, injections on anatomical models are an option; however, you will not be allowed to inject on a live patient.

Each state has its own regulations concerning live patient injections. Kindly consult your licensing board to determine if you’re permitted to administer injections.

Volunteers - Training Patients:

There is never a charge to volunteers for receiving Botulinum Toxin-A injections, or any aesthetic treatments during any of the Empire programs.

You are required to bring a volunteer to receive injections. In the event you cannot find a volunteer, we will do our best to pair you with another attendee so you may inject on each other. Please note: we cannot guarantee you a volunteer or model.
