Hands-On Advanced Threads Education: Total Face, Neck, & Eyes

You have taken the PDO Thread Lifting I & II and have safely learned to place the threads correctly as well as exploring the basic vectors utilized in the midface region. This course is designed to further your education and experience by learning how to perform a full treatment of the face using PDO Threads. The course is designed to enhance your basic learning and expand your knowledge of the use of advanced thread applications utilizing the more robust cutting COG threads and molded COG Threads for the face, neck, chin, and eyes.

Empire Medical Training’s PDO Thread Lifting (Level III) course will prepare you to offer additional treatment options for patients and give you the one-on-one experience needed for attendees to learn how to perform these more advanced procedures and thread options. The objective of the training is to ensure that attendees understand additional treatment options and who wish to push themselves for better results utilizing barbed threads. Empire has expanded this 1-Day Hands-On Training to include the following full treatment site areas:

  • Mid-face & lower face (2 areas, most recommended)
  • Foxy/Cat Eye Treatment on eyebrows (if models are appropriate)
  • Neck or Decollate (if models are appropriate)

What makes this course different from the prerequisite course (Thread Lift I & II) is

  • Single instructor (MD or Nurse Practitioner)
  • Threads of 19G-18G, which may include V1 & V2 (molded Cog threads), instead of just learning where and how to place threads, the course will include use of more robust threads into less forgiving areas to see better and longer lasting results.
  • Reversed-vector placements
    • Understanding why, and their pros & cons
    • When to use bi-directional or unidirectional barb configurations.
  • Use of Clarius Handheld Ultrasound Scanner so you can see the threads after placement.
  • Small group course (4-6 maximum) with attendees who already have taken previous thread courses and have experience in placing smooth and barbed PDO Threads. By having a small group of people, attendees should be able to see and learn more cases from a group setting and be trained as a small group preceptorship.
  • More in-depth Knowledge training on PDO thread mechanism & anatomy.
  • Management of Complications and how to deal with possible adverse events. The course will address how to deal with possible complications from thread placements.
