Who is the Complete Facial Aesthetic Course Intended for?

Admissions to Empire Medical Training are open to licensed healthcare professionals, including physicians, dentists, and nurses authorized to perform injection procedures. Prospective participants are encouraged to check with their respective licensing boards to determine eligibility for performing these procedures in their practice. For individuals who are not licensed healthcare professionals, participation is limited to observational learning through demonstrations of how these procedures are performed.

In-Person Training

Get hands-on experience with live patients under expert supervision. Practice proper technique, patient communication, and protocols in a clinical setting alongside board-certified physician instructors.

Most in-person courses are hybrid: you complete the online didactic portion first, then attend in-person for your hands-on practice (when applicable). This means more time for actual technique practice on live patients and a more detailed, one-on-one Q&A session with the physician instructor on the day of your course.

Livestream Training

Our livestream option delivers the same comprehensive education as our in-person program — taught by a live instructor in real time so you can engage and ask questions from the comfort of your home or office. This virtual session runs approximately 2 hours, followed by an additional 1-hour live Q&A with the instructor.

Here, you’ll find pre-course materials including video lectures, reading assignments, and self-assessment quizzes. Intensive hands-on training: The core of the certification process is our immersive, hands-on workshop. Under the guidance of expert instructors, you’ll practice techniques on live models, mastering the nuances of each procedure.

Course Prerequisites

To ensure all participants are adequately prepared for the hands-on training and to maximize the learning experience, the following prerequisites are required:

Professional Licensure: Participants must be licensed healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, or licensed aestheticians working under physician supervision).
Basic Knowledge of Facial Anatomy: A fundamental understanding of facial anatomy is essential. For those needing a refresher, Empire Medical Training offers a pre-course online module on facial anatomy.
Completion of Pre-Course Materials: Upon registration, participants will receive access to our online learning platform. It is mandatory to complete the assigned pre-course reading materials, video lectures, and self-assessment quizzes before attending the hands-on workshop.
Advanced Facial Anatomy Training: For non-core specialties (other than Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists), completion of the Advanced Facial Anatomy Cadaver Workshop for Aesthetics (live or on-demand) is strongly recommended. This valuable program will help practitioners avoid complications while performing aesthetic injections and procedures.
Basic Injection Experience: While not mandatory, basic experience with injectable treatments (e.g., neurotoxins, dermal fillers) is beneficial.
Malpractice Insurance: Participants should ensure their malpractice insurance covers aesthetic procedures or obtain appropriate coverage before implementing new techniques in their practice.

For courses with hands-on training, attendees will be in small group breakout sessions with live patients.
For courses with didactic training, attendees will participate in a comprehensive university-style lecture. Some courses will also feature anatomical models or live models to enhance the learning experience.

Breaks
