Who is the Combo Course Intended for?

Admissions to Empire Medical Training are open to licensed healthcare professionals, including physicians, dentists, and nurses authorized to perform injection procedures. Prospective participants are encouraged to check with their respective licensing boards to determine eligibility for performing these procedures in their practice. For individuals who are not licensed healthcare professionals, participation is limited to observational learning through demonstrations of how these procedures are performed.

About the Workshop

Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler Certification Process

The combo program awards two separate certifications — one for Botulinum Toxin, one for Dermal Fillers — totaling 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Both certifications are recognized throughout the United States.

How It Works:

  1. At-Home Learning: Access our state-of-the-art portal MyMembersPortal.com, where you complete prerequisite video modules for both Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler training.
  2. Course Manuals: Read both the Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler training manuals before arriving.
  3. Hands-On Training Day: One full day, two sessions — morning Botulinum Toxin, afternoon Dermal Filler, all live-patient.
  4. Proficiency Testing: Demonstrate injection technique and pass the knowledge assessment for both modalities.

Upon successful completion you will receive your official Botulinum Toxin certification and your official Dermal Filler certification.

Combo Course Details

Morning Session — Botulinum Toxin (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

You will receive comprehensive instruction on reconstituting neurotoxin products and administering Botulinum Toxin safely across the most common cosmetic and medical indications. Hands-on injection practice on live patients under direct physician supervision.

Afternoon Session — Dermal Fillers (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Live-patient hands-on practice with HA and non-HA filler products, supervised by board-certified aesthetic physicians, plastic surgeons, and dermatologists. You will learn injection technique, anesthetic options, and complication management.

Pre-Course On-Demand Preparation Required

Empire's 1-day combo program is intentionally fast-paced — every attendee arrives on course day already grounded in the didactic material, so the entire eight hours can be spent on live-patient hands-on injection practice. To make that possible, you must complete the pre-course on-demand modules before you arrive. This is a non-negotiable prerequisite for the live-patient portion and applies to both the Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler sessions.

How it works:

Learning Objectives

By the end of this 1-day combo program, you will be able to:

  1. Master Botulinum Toxin pharmacology — mechanism of action, reconstitution, and dilution for all five FDA-approved neurotoxins.
  2. Identify candidates and contraindications for both Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler treatments.
  3. Apply facial anatomy expertise — muscles, vascular danger zones, and innervation relevant to both injectable categories.
  4. Perform Botulinum Toxin injections across all major aesthetic indications (glabellar, frontalis, crow's feet, perioral, jawline, neck).
  5. Perform Dermal Filler injections using linear threading, fanning, cross-hatching, and bolus techniques, on both HA and non-HA products.
  6. Evaluate fillers by G-Prime and select the appropriate product for each anatomical area.
  7. Use both needle and cannula techniques — understand when each is indicated.
  8. Handle complications — vascular occlusion, tissue necrosis, hyaluronidase reversal, and Botulinum Toxin asymmetry corrections.
  9. Conduct comprehensive aesthetic consultations — set expectations, evaluate facial harmony, and plan combined treatment protocols.
  10. Apply business and marketing strategy for adding two new revenue services to your practice.

The average professional fee for filler injections runs $650–$800 per syringe; Botulinum Toxin injections typically run $10–$15 per unit. Combined, these two services represent the highest-volume revenue category in aesthetic medicine.

Who Can Do This Combo Training?

This combo program is open to licensed medical and dental professionals: Physicians (MD, DO), Dentists (DDS, DMD), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Nurses (RN), and Physician Assistants (PA). Scope-of-practice rules vary by state — please confirm with your state board before enrolling.

  • Attendees inject FDA-approved Botulinum Toxin products in glabellar, lateral canthal, forehead, mentalis, and perioral regions.
  • Specialty injections offered upon physician approval.

Afternoon — Dermal Filler Session

  • Speaker introduction and Q&A on Dermal Filler prerequisite materials.
  • Review of HA/non-HA filler properties, anatomy, and live-patient session protocols.

  • Cannula and needle technique drills, complication review.

Each session is structured around live-patient hands-on practice. The morning Botulinum Toxin block provides roughly 3 hours of supervised injection time; the afternoon Dermal Filler block provides another 3 hours. Class sizes are kept small (typically 4–6 attendees per instructor) so every participant injects directly under physician supervision.
