About Dr. Gisele
Dr. Girault is a certified Independent Medical Examiner, proficient in the AMA Guides to Permanent Impairment, Fifth and Sixth Editions. She has performed hundreds of Independent Medical Examinations. Dr. Girault graduated from Yale College with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a minor in Physics. She attended the Kansas University School of Medicine where she obtained her Medical Degree. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine, she completed her residency in Anesthesia at the New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Girault went on to complete a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia. Dr. Girault was a Clinical Instructor in Anesthesia at The New York Medical College before practicing general and pediatric anesthesia in private practice in New Jersey.
Dr. Girault then decided to pursue a Pain Medicine Fellowship at Dartmouth- Hitchcock Medical Center. After she completed her fellowship at Dartmouth, she continued as the Medical Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship and Assistant Professor of Anesthesia for many years. While at Dartmouth, she took part in pain research and co-authored multiple articles in the pain literature. She also authored and published a chapter on spinal cord stimulation in a pain textbook. Dr. Girault has been in private practice in South Carolina since 2002. She is an interventional pain specialist performing advanced pain procedures, such as spinal cord stimulator implants and radiofrequency ablation. Dr. Girault also has treated opioid addiction in her Suboxone practice since 2015. Dr. Girault is in active clinical practice in Fort Mill, SC and West Columbia, SC.
