Empire's Combination Therapies PDO course leverages your pharmacological expertise to master the most advanced non-surgical rejuvenation protocols. Understanding how threads, fillers, neurotoxins, and biostimulators interact at molecular and tissue levels is essential for designing effective combination treatments, and your PharmD training provides a natural foundation for this multi-product clinical reasoning. This program equips you with the integrative treatment design skills that command premium compensation and produce transformative patient outcomes.
Perform combination treatments on live patients integrating PDO threads with fillers, neurotoxins, and biostimulators. Your understanding of product interactions, timing, and synergistic mechanisms enables you to optimize combination protocols with a scientific precision that other providers cannot match.
Apply your pharmacological expertise to understand how PDO polymer degradation products interact with HA filler chemistry, how neurotoxin diffusion affects thread-adjacent tissue, and how biostimulator mechanisms synergize with thread-induced collagen production. This depth of product interaction knowledge defines expert-level combination practice.
Master the pharmacological safety considerations unique to combination treatments — drug interactions, timing-dependent contraindications, and the complication profiles that differ from single-modality procedures. Your adverse reaction and interaction expertise provides a strong foundation for combination safety management.
Combination PDO protocols represent the premium tier of non-surgical rejuvenation, commanding $3,000-$8,000+ per session. Your ability to design scientifically optimized combination treatments creates a unique value proposition that justifies premium pricing and attracts sophisticated patients.
Course Highlights
As a pharmacist, your product science expertise is uniquely valuable for multi-modality treatment design. These highlights show how combination PDO training leverages your pharmacological knowledge to create advanced integrative treatment capabilities.
Curriculum Highlights
Master essential techniques and protocols through our comprehensive, CME-accredited curriculum designed for pharmacists (pharmd).
Designed for Pharmacists
Pharmacists possess unmatched pharmacological knowledge that translates directly to expertise in injectable products, drug interactions, and patient safety in procedural medicine. As the pharmacy profession evolves toward clinical care delivery, procedural training positions pharmacists at the forefront of this transformation. Adding clinical services creates new revenue streams and career opportunities well beyond traditional pharmacy practice.
Pharmacists are expanding their clinical roles beyond traditional dispensing into direct patient care services including aesthetic procedures, pain management, and functional medicine. Several states now authorize pharmacists to administer injectable treatments, and the profession's deep pharmacological knowledge makes pharmacists exceptionally qualified to understand drug interactions, dosing optimization, and product selection for injectable procedures. Empire's training helps pharmacists leverage their unique expertise to enter the procedural medicine market.
Pharmacists receive CME/CE accredited certification upon completion. Credits are accepted by state pharmacy boards for continuing education and license renewal requirements.

Licensed healthcare professionals, including MDs, DOs, DMDs, DDS, NPs, PAs, and RNs with prior injectable experience. This is not an introductory course — it is designed for advanced aesthetic practitioners with prior training in aesthetic injections and/or thread procedures.
No. This is a non-CME advanced certification program. Participants receive an Empire Medical Training Certificate of Completion documenting their training in comprehensive face and body-contouring combination therapies.
Yes. Participants will observe live models and perform limited hands-on procedures under supervision. The course format includes pre-course study, live Q&A, demonstrations, and limited hands-on instruction.
It combines every major non-surgical aesthetic modality — injectables, threads, PRP/PRF, and energy devices — into a single integrated curriculum focused on real-world application. Both facial combination protocols and body contouring techniques are covered in one program.
The course covers hyperdilute Sculptra and Radiesse for body skin tightening and lifting, PDO threads for knees, arms, abdomen, buttocks, and decolletage, PRP/PRF combinations for cellulite reduction, and device integration with RF, micro-focused ultrasound, HIFEM, 1064 YAG laser, and IPL technologies.
You will learn to design and price branded aesthetic packages such as the Stem Cell Facial, Age Defiance Makeover, and Platinum Rejuvenation. The course covers strategic pricing, membership programs, and bundled treatment structures with typical patient session pricing ranging from $1,800 to $6,000.
Please refer to your state or regional licensing board. International attendees may participate through observation or anatomical model practice rather than live patient injection.
The course includes a full-color manual, treatment protocols, access to the Physician Portal with forms, consent templates, and marketing materials, pre-course virtual training access, tutorial videos featuring renowned instructors, and all medicines and supplies needed for the hands-on component.
Your understanding of product interactions, tissue pharmacology, and molecular mechanisms provides a natural foundation for combination PDO therapy. You can reason scientifically about how thread degradation products interact with filler matrices, how neurotoxin diffusion patterns affect treatment timing, and how to optimize synergistic collagen stimulation. This depth of multi-product reasoning is your competitive advantage in combination treatment design.
You should have foundational PDO thread training and/or injectable experience before attending. Comfort with basic thread or injectable procedures is recommended, as the course builds combination expertise on existing procedural skills. If you are new to aesthetic procedures, Empire recommends completing foundational courses first.
Pharmacist authority for combination aesthetic procedures varies by state and depends on the same regulatory framework that governs individual procedures. If your state authorizes pharmacist-administered injectables and thread procedures individually, combining them strategically operates within the same scope. Empire provides current regulatory guidance during the course.
Pharmacist scope of practice for administering injectable aesthetic treatments varies by state. Some states explicitly authorize pharmacist-administered injectables, while others require collaborative practice agreements or additional certifications. The trend is toward expanding pharmacist clinical authority. We recommend checking your state pharmacy board's current regulations. Empire's certification provides the documented training that state boards and credentialing organizations require.
Pharmacists bring an unparalleled understanding of drug pharmacology, interactions, contraindications, and safety profiles to procedural medicine. This knowledge translates directly to superior product selection, accurate dosing calculations, thorough patient screening, and enhanced safety management during injectable procedures. Patients and referring physicians value having a provider who understands the science behind the products at a molecular level.
Pharmacists with procedural certification can work in medical spas, aesthetic clinics, pain management practices, compounding pharmacies that offer clinical services, integrative medicine centers, and collaborative practice settings. Some pharmacist entrepreneurs have opened their own aesthetic and wellness clinics. The combination of clinical pharmacy expertise and procedural skills creates a unique professional profile with growing demand across multiple healthcare sectors.
