 After 30 years of
use internationally in Europe and Canada low-level or cold laser therapy for nicotine addiction is now available in the United States. Low-level laser is being studied at this time for FDA
Approval to see if it promotes the release of endorphins in the body. Endorphins are natural chemicals in your body that signal your system to decrease stress and increase energy. This
therapy has also aided patients for weight loss where these same principles apply.
Low-level laser therapy for smoking cessation operates on principles similar to the 5,000 year old ancient Asian healing art of Acupuncture. Acupuncture is known to reduce tension, increase
circulation, and enable the body to relax more deeply. Low Level Laser is a non-invasive method used to balance the energy flow between acupuncture points.
 The
low-level lasers are no more powerful than a light bulb. Laser is applied to energy points related to addiction being treated. The Laser Therapy procedure is external, non-invasive, drug
free, and non-thermal with no known risks to patients.
During the laser session energy is applied to points on your hands, face, and ears. If a client feels the sensation from the low-level laser, they may feel a warm, pulsating and
sometimes-tingling feeling. Some clients may only feel a calming sensation from the laser or no sensation at all.
 This course will
allow the participants to become proficient in the use of this exciting treatment option for patients struggling with addictions such as smoking and obesity. The entry-point or cost of
these low-level lasers is relatively inexpensive and can be easily integrated into your medical or aesthetic services now being offered. Laser Auriculotherapy will be covered in detail and
treatment protocols discussed at length. Business strategies, pricing of services, and marketing tools will be presented so that all attendees can successfully integrate this new cash based
service to their practice setting.
