Things to Know About Microblading for Hair Loss

Hair loss is a very discouraging problem regardless of its severity. What’s even more surprising, up to 40% of Americans that experience hair loss are women according to the American Association of Hair Loss. Common solutions to the problem are to use over the counter products, but these tend to be ineffective and expensive at the same time. Fortunately, microblading has been proven as an alternative that actually works. Ramon Padilla, creative director & founder of EverTrue Microblading Salon in New York says: “Microblading can realistically replicate hair strands on the scalp and especially the hairline area, concealing areas where hair has thinned. For most women, the areas where microblading is most effective are the temples, a hair part that has started to bald, or the entire hairline from ear-to-ear.” Microblading is most effective when thicknesses being added to hair that is thin. Existing hair strands are used to provide the extra thickness and it therefore creates a natural looking result. However, the results may appear less natural when the area is totally bald. The results of a microblading treatment can last for up to 8 months and do require some upkeep. The rate of fading is different for everyone so the number of touch-ups required will also be different.
