The Pain Management Procedures workshop is a two day course that is conveniently held just before the Advanced Pain Management workshop, so physicians can take in both courses during the same week. The initial Pain Management Procedures workshop is designed to provide training in the most up-to-date pain manage injection techniques for Family Practitioners and other Primary Care Providers. Lower back pain is one of the most common reasons for seeking medical care, and being able to appropriately diagnose and treat that pain, as well as pain in other joints and areas, will expand your practice and greatly benefit your patients.
The course is led by Dr. Ernest Roman. Dr. Roman is a Board Certified physician who specializes in the methods of Pain Management CME. Dr. Roman will lead the class in exploring and discussing pain management techniques during the first day of the course, and will guide students in hands-on application during the second day using human cadavers, live volunteers, and custom injection models. In fact, that hands-on experience is what sets Empire Medical's courses apart from other courses. You will leave fully confident in your abilities to put these techniques into practice in your own office. The course has an eleven year history of excellence.
The Pain Management Procedures course will cover the palpatory technique for pain management injections, and will also cover the Fluoroscopically Guided Injection. Using an ultrasound to make your injections more precise will also be covered. Various injection methods you will learn include, but are not limited to: destructive facet injection, trigger point injections, and prolotherapy. Proper coding, pricing, and reimbursement methods will also be covered during the course. You will also learn the Medicare guidelines for these procedures. The course does count as a CME credit. Participating physicians can take advantage of the complimentary Webinar that follows the course, which offers further instruction on the business practices discussed during the class.
